Pop-Tarts Just Quietly Dropped a Brand-New Product for Summer

Pop-Tarts are an absolute staple for me. Quick, easy, sweet and delicious, there’s nothing as satisfying as crinkling open that shiny silver package to reveal twin pastries fit for royalty (or at least that’s how it feels).
While Pop-Tarts has added quite a few different flavors since its debut, like the recent Girl Scout Cookies collab, the concept has stayed consistent. You truly can’t go wrong with this rectangular pastry.
So, how could one possibly improve on such a fine food? The answer is ice cream.
Apparently, Pop-Tarts has joined forces with the ice cream sandwich world. Here’s what we know about summer’s next best treat!
What are Pop-Tarts ice cream sandwiches?!
Creamy ice cream will be layered between two familiar Pop-Tarts pastries, completely transforming the warm Pop-Tart experience into a sweet, frozen escapade. Three fan-favorite flavors will be available as ice cream sandwiches: Frosted Brown Sugar Cinnamon, Frosted Strawberry and Frosted Chocolate Fudge. My only question is, how did I not think of using Pop-Tarts to make my own ice cream sandwiches?

While my heart yearns for Wild Berry, I’m more than happy to indulge in any available flavor. We love Pop-Tarts because they’re nostalgic and remind us of easier times. Combine that with the simplicity and whimsy of an ice cream sandwich, and you have a dead ringer for a summer smash hit.
Younger me would have given anything to have Pop-Tarts for breakfast and a Pop-Tarts ice cream sandwich out by the pool. I’m not one to disappoint my inner child—sweet moments are far too hard to come by.
Where do I find them?
Pop-Tarts ice cream sandwiches will be available exclusively at Walmart starting May 2025. Later this summer, Pop-Tarts ice cream pints will also be available at select retailers.
