You only need butter, sugar and flour to make 3-ingredient sugar cookies. There's no reason not to bake a batch!
Ingredients
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2/3 cup sugar
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
Directions
- Preheat oven to 325°. In a large bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy, 5-7 minutes. Gradually beat in flour until crumbly. Press dough together with hands until it holds together when pressed. Shape into 1-in. balls and flatten slightly; place 2 in. apart on greased or parchment-lined baking sheets.
- Bake until very lightly browned, 12-14 minutes. Cool on pans 5 minutes. Remove to wire racks to cool completely.
