Our cake balls recipe transforms a simple box of cake mix into irresistible bite-sized treats with just four simple ingredients. Feel free to get creative and experiment with different cake and frosting flavors!
Ingredients
- 1 package funfetti cake mix (regular size)
- 1 can (15.6 ounces) funfetti vanilla frosting
- 1 pound white candy coating, coarsely chopped
- Rainbow jimmies or nonpareils
Directions
- Prepare and bake cake mix according to package directions, using a greased 13x9-in. baking pan. Cool completely on a wire rack.
- Crumble cake into a large bowl. Add frosting with candy bits and mix well. Shape into 1-1/4-in. balls. Place on baking sheets. Freeze for at least 2 hours or refrigerate for at least 3 hours or until cake balls are firm.
- In a microwave, melt candy coating. Dip each cake ball in coating; allow excess to drip off. Sprinkle with jimmies or nonpareils. Let stand until set. Store in an airtight container.
