Spiced Pecans

Spiced pecans are sweet, salty and fragrant with cinnamon. They're a wonderful and easy-to-make snack or salad topper, and packed into jars, they make a lovely holiday or hostess gift.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 3 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 large egg white
  • 1 pound large pecan halves

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 300°. In a small bowl, combine sugar, cinnamon and salt. In a large bowl, lightly beat egg white. Add pecans; stir until coated. Sprinkle with sugar mixture; mix well.
  2. Spread in a single layer on a greased baking sheet. Bake until lightly browned, 20-25 minutes, stirring once. Remove nuts from baking sheet to cool on waxed paper.
