Easy Oven-Baked Burgers

Our foolproof technique creates juicy, easy oven-baked burgers with little mess to clean up. Here's how to cook burgers in the oven in only 20 minutes.

Ingredients

  • 1-1/3 pounds ground beef
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 4 hamburger buns, split and toasted
  • Optional toppings: Sliced cheese, lettuce leaves, sliced tomato, sliced onion, bacon and mayonnaise

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°. Shape ground beef into four 1-in.-thick patties. Use your thumb to press a divot in the middle of each patty. Arrange on a greased 15x10x1-in. baking sheet.
  2. Sprinkle both sides of patties with salt and pepper. Bake until a thermometer reads 160°, 15-20 minutes, turning once. If desired, top each patty with cheese during the last 2-3 minutes. Serve on buns with toppings as desired.
