Peanut Butter Chews

Peanut butter chews combine creamy peanut butter with crunchy cornflakes for a sweet homemade snack that looks like you went to a little trouble. They're fancy enough to take to a party, and easy enough to enjoy on your own.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup light corn syrup
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 cup peanut butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 4 to 5 cups cornflakes

Directions

  1. In a large saucepan, bring the corn syrup and sugar to a boil. Add the peanut butter. Remove from the heat; stir in vanilla and cornflakes.
  2. Drop by tablespoonfuls onto waxed paper. Store in an airtight container.
