Gluten-Free Apple Crumble

Total Time Prep: 10 min. Bake: 50 min.
Yield 6 servings
A gluten-free apple crumble is one of our favorite desserts to bake after a trip to the apple orchard. Filled with tender tart apples, spicy cinnamon and a gluten-free crumble topping, this recipe is autumnal to the core.

Ingredients

  • 6 cups sliced peeled tart apples
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3/4 cup gluten-free all-purpose baking flour (without xanthan gum)
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup cold butter, cubed
  • Ice cream, optional

Directions

  1. Place the apples in a greased 9-in. square baking dish. In a small bowl, combine sugar, flour and cinnamon; cut in butter until crumbly. Sprinkle over apples.
  2. Bake at 375° for 50-55 minutes or until golden brown and bubbly around the edges. If desired, serve with ice cream.
