Make homemade strawberry syrup with fresh or frozen berries, then drizzle it over pancakes, waffles or even ice cream for a burst of fresh, fruity flavor.
Ingredients
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup water
- 1-1/2 cups mashed unsweetened strawberries
Directions
- In a saucepan, bring sugar and water to a boil. Gradually add strawberries; return to a boil. Reduce heat. Simmer, uncovered, 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Serve over pancakes, waffles or ice cream.
