This easy jalapeno salsa brings fresh, bold flavors to any meal. It’s great as a dip or a topping for tacos—quick to make and packed with heat!
Ingredients
- 12 jalapeno peppers, halved and seeded (about 1 pound)
- 8 garlic cloves, peeled
- 1/4 cup fresh cilantro leaves
- 2 tablespoons canola oil
- 2 tablespoons lime juice
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
Directions
- Place jalapenos and garlic in a large saucepan; cover with water. Bring to a boil, then reduce to a simmer; cover and cook 15-20 minutes or until jalapenos and garlic are very soft. Drain and let cool.
- Place jalapenos, garlic, cilantro, oil, lime juice and salt in a high-speed blender or food processor; puree until smooth. Transfer to a bowl; cover and refrigerate at least 1 hour.
