Nectarine Cobbler

What's like a peach cobbler but isn't peach cobbler? This delicious nectarine cobbler recipe! It comes together so easily with no need to make the fruity filling separately. Just add the sugar-coated nectarines atop the batter, bake it, and enjoy!

Ingredients

  • 4 cups sliced nectarines (unpeeled)
  • 3/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons sugar, divided
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • Dash ground nutmeg
  • 3/4 cup 2% milk
  • Vanilla ice cream, optional

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°. In a small bowl, combine nectarines and 2 tablespoons sugar; set aside.
  2. Pour butter into an 2-1/2 qt. baking dish. In a small bowl, combine flour, baking powder, salt, nutmeg and remaining 3/4 cup sugar; stir in milk just until combined. Pour over butter. Top with nectarine mixture. Bake until golden brown, 50-55 minutes. Serve warm with ice cream if desired.
