Ingredients

  • SUGAR COOKIE SYRUP:
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons packed brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon almond extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon butter extract
  • LATTE:
  • 3 ounces brewed espresso
  • 1/2 cup whole milk
  • Sprinkles, for topping

Directions

  1. In a small saucepan, combine water and sugars. Bring to a boil; reduce to a simmer over medium-low heat. Cook until sugars have dissolved, 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat; stir in extracts. Cool completely. Reserve 2 tablespoons syrup for the latte; refrigerate remaining syrup for future use.
  2. Add reserved 2 tablespoons syrup and espresso into a mug, stir to combine. Froth milk until foamy; pour over espresso. Top with sprinkles, if desired.
