Who says you can't have cookies for breakfast? This sugar cookie latte tastes just like dessert.
Ingredients
- SUGAR COOKIE SYRUP:
- 1/4 cup water
- 2 tablespoons packed brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon almond extract
- 1/4 teaspoon butter extract
- LATTE:
- 3 ounces brewed espresso
- 1/2 cup whole milk
- Sprinkles, for topping
Directions
- In a small saucepan, combine water and sugars. Bring to a boil; reduce to a simmer over medium-low heat. Cook until sugars have dissolved, 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat; stir in extracts. Cool completely. Reserve 2 tablespoons syrup for the latte; refrigerate remaining syrup for future use.
- Add reserved 2 tablespoons syrup and espresso into a mug, stir to combine. Froth milk until foamy; pour over espresso. Top with sprinkles, if desired.
